Papua New Guinea U-19 v South Africa U-19

South Africa under 19 defeat New Guinea

Nepal's U-19 cricket team would have been under heavy pressure if they hadn't won the match against lowly Namibia in its last league match in the U-19 ICC Cricket World Cup in Penang on Thursday.
Nepal scripted thrilling 3-run victory in the low scoring match gaining some sympathy in the tournament. However, Nepali team again showed poor batting skill as they were all out in just 164 runs. Opener Mahesh Chhetri played 62-run-knock off 134 balls while Raj Shrestha contributed 26 runs. Besides, other batsmen faltered to add the runs in scoreboard.
In reply, Namibians got the early shock with wickets falling in frequent intervals but they came back on track with middle order batsmen adding some runs in the board. Van Der Westhuizen scored 65 and Silver added 41 runs. Skipper Paras Khadka, Rahuk Vishwokarma and Gynendra Malla added two wickets each. Mahesh Chhetri won the Man of the Match Award. Nepal will now play the Plate Championship with the teams who are bereft from going super league round.
